Yay! Found Some Good Tapas!

tapas

Ok, finally, we’ve found some food that made us go wow!

While wandering around by the hostel looking for somewhere with Wi-Fi (because the Internet at the hostel kept crapping out), we noticed a bar/restaurant that had a menu that listed its tapas (most places don’t seem to list the tapas on the menu so we haven’t been able to figure out how to order), so we wandered in to try.  After we ordered two drinks (which the menu said comes with a tapa), we weren’t sure how everything was going to be served, so we decided to start by randomly picking 3 tapas for 2.60 euro.

The tapa that came with the drink was a small dish of paella-like rice which Paul really really liked.  The tapas we ordered were actually three small pieces of  toasted bread, each with a topping.  I had managed to order a tiny Chorizo sausage, a piece of smoked salmon, and a drumstick.  The Chorizo was probably the best thing I’ve tasted since I left Vancouver!  We decided we needed to try a few more so we waived the waitress over and randomly picked another 12 items for 9.60 euro.

While we’re not 100% sure what we ended up getting (some of it was ham, some of it was tuna, and one piece was some sort of cheese), we were both elated to have had some food that actually wowed us.  Hopefully it’s all thumbs-up from here?
