Barcelona: Land of the Farmacias (pharmacies)

pharmacy

Not sure why but every block in Barcelona seems to have 1 or more Farmacias (pharmacies). The odd thing is all drugs, even Tylenol (called panacetamol here) is kept behind the counter. They have probably have more pharmacies per block than Vancouver/Seattle has Starbucks! (editor’s note: Starcrack anyone?)

Drugs are considerably cheaper here than in Canada. Mainly because there is no dispensing fees and the drugs do not have brand names like Tylenol or Advil.

I guess people in Barcelona will not be complaining of headaches anytime soon eh?

Sorry to hear about the conditions of the hostel… Getting used to it at all?

Are you guys eating McDonalds (re: BBQ Sauce/Spanish incident) because of the terrible experiences with food so far? :)

The McDonald’s became a staple once Paul got food poisoned :) That post was half finished when I got disconnected from my internet yesterday – I finished it now and it sort of explains that :)
We’re slowly adjusting… we’re in France now so we’ll be in hotels for the next couple weeks!

Just got caught up on those posts that didn’t upload when your connection got disconnected. :)
Can’t wait to read your posts from France!
